Hi, I’m Heather!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) physically based in the Cool Springs area, but also see clients virtually throughout the state of Tennessee. My work is relational. I honor the patterns, experiences, and connections that shape who you are and how you move through the world.

I hold a Ph.D. in Mental Health Counseling from Belmont University and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the music industry, as well as a marketing, creative, and technical writer. This background allows me to bring curiosity, creativity, and strong communication skills into the therapy room, helping clients name their experiences and rewrite unhelpful narratives with clarity and compassion.

In 2019, I was diagnosed with alpha-gal syndrome, an allergy to mammal meats and products. This experience led me to pursue additional training as a Food Allergy Coach, giving me both professional and lived understanding of the emotional, relational, and lifestyle impact chronic health conditions and food allergies can have.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. I’m a fan of Sara Bareilles, all things musical theater, New York City, and stories of people who succeed against all odds—because I believe resilience and hope are always part of the story, even when the chapter feels hard.
