TEENS
“Adolescence is about becoming
who you are meant to be, step by step.”
I work with teens who feel stressed, overwhelmed, or stuck—whether that’s from academic or athletic pressure, anxiety, relationships, college-acceptance stress, or big life changes. Many of the teens I support are high-achieving and capable, yet feel weighed down by expectations while trying to figure out who they are and what they want.
In our work together, we may focus on:
Identifying values and personal strengths
Building emotional regulation and distress tolerance
Developing healthy communication skills
Learning effective coping strategies for stress and anxiety (DBT-informed)
If you are a teen:
Therapy is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. Together, we focus on strengthening confidence, self-awareness, and coping tools so challenges feel more manageable. I believe your voice matters and my hope is that you leave therapy feeling more confident, supported, and capable of handling what comes next.
If you are a parent:
With over 35 years of experience working with teens, I have a deep understanding of this stage of growth and change. I believe in collaborating with you while honoring your teen’s autonomy. Clear expectations are established from the beginning, with appropriate communication as needed.
If this sounds like it could be helpful for you, reach out and let’s talk.
